Water Heater Warranty Check
Find out how old your water heater is and whether it's still under warranty — in about two minutes, free.
Two Things to Grab Off Your Heater
Every manufacturer's lookup works the same way. Some want only the number portion of the serial, others want the full string of numbers and letters — the lookup will tell you. The result shows when your heater was made and whether it's still covered.
The Manufacturer's Name
Printed near the top of the tank — Rheem, Bradford White, State, and so on.
The Serial Number
On the black-and-white rating label, roughly at the middle of the heater, usually right next to the model number.
⚠️ How long do water heaters last in Arizona?
The average life of a water heater here is 8 to 10 years — our hard water is tough on tanks. If you have a water softener, add 1–2 years (so 9–11 on average). If your lookup shows a heater in that range, it's worth planning ahead before it fails on its own schedule.
